Lack of Hearing No Impediment to Enjoying the Beautiful Game

Three American female soccer coaches spent ten days in Malaysia conducting soccer clinics for girls in three cities. The program arranged in cooperation with the International Center and the Ladies Football Association of Malaysia, and Malaysia's Ministry of Youth and Sports also focused on special needs girls in each city. In Kuching, Malaysia fifteen hearing impaired were so delighted to be included in the camp with the rest of the school girls in the activities, that they were the last to leave the field, taking pictures with all of our staff. The clinics reached over 350 girls and the coaches noted that including the developmentally disabled and hearing impaired provided a rich and powerful connection for all of us.
